Before his appointment as the Administrator of the E-Waste Management Fund, Anthony Akwetea-Mensah was the Executive Director of Joratec Company Limited in charge of Business development. Before deciding to go into fulltime management of their business (with a sibling), Tony was the CEO of Premium Realty, a real estate company which was in the development and building of various houses and buildings/structures for the whole range of clients in and out of the country. Prior to joining Premium Realty, he was the Managing Director of McOttley Money Lending, where he was responsible for the general growth of the business. Before that he was the General Manager at ACIC Limited, an environmental reclamation company, where he was responsible for design and implementation of the company’s strategic direction and success.
Tony has over 25 years of experience in diverse fields including construction, telecommunication, financial sector, and mining. With an academic background as an engineer, he started his career as a mine surveyor at Satellite Goldfield Limited (SGL). He later moved to Standard Chartered Bank as a Sales Manager in charge of SME banking and secured lending, where he was responsible for developing business and sale strategy for the bank. He also joined Intercontinental Bank (now Access Bank Ghana) as the Business Office Manager in charge of evaluating and analyzing individual and SME business proposals, evaluating the feasibility of new business opportunities and coordinating strategies for the marketing team of the bank.
Tony holds an MBA in Accounting from the Bowling Green State University in Ohio (USA) and an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Harburg-Hamburg, in Germany. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geodetic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.
Mr Amos Blessing Amorse is an experienced and committed professional with a strong background in Law, Research, Media and Politics.He holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Labour Law and Practice, a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science (MSc) in Human Resource Management, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). He is presently pursuing a Ph.D in Defence and International Politics, and QCL at the prestigious Ghana School of Law.
Before joining the Fund as Deputy Administrator, Mr. Amorse worked over ten years as research assistant, and news editor for a number of media houses in Ghana where he gained valuable experience in leadership, mentoring, and team building. He is an editor of a number of research journals
He has undertaken legal internships with BRaL Legal Consulting and Services PRUC, and at Court 7 of the Land Division of the High Court, where he trained under the mentorship of His Lordship Alexander Osei Tutu. In addition to this, Mr Amorse serves as an erudite contributor to the Ghanaian legal jurisprudence and academia with numerous publications in both local and international journals.
His professional journey is marked by commitment to excellence, integrity, and the advancement of justice.
Moses Kwame Ohene is a Development Practitioner and Project Manager. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies and a Bachelor of Arts Degree with honors in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Ghana (UG), Accra. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Project Management from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM-UK) as well as certificates in several short courses.
Moses has since 2002 acquired good working knowledge and experience in public administration and local governance through active work with relevant public and local government institutions. He has been involved in project management in both rural and urban communities over a period of 24 years and was instrumental in the succesful implementation of the Ghana Poverty Reduction Project I and II (GPRP I & II), Urban Poverty Reduction Project (UPRP) all funded by the African Development Bank and the Integrated Rural Development Project (IRDP I & II) funded by the OPEC Fund for International Development and Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA)
He also successfully facilitated the organization and delivery of over 70 one-week capacity building training workshops for over 1,200 small scale enterprise operators in seven regions of Ghana under the UPRP within 3 months to meet project-end deadline. He has facilitated several workshops particularly for adult learners both literates and illiterates across several regions of Ghana and has developed good communication skills in English, Ewe, Ga, Twi and Dangme . Moses is a traditional leader under the stool name Togbe Demadetadza I
